I spent an hour Googling this and came up with nothing. The task is
to convert an historical novel from .MP3 to .AA so my son can listen
to it on his new Garmin 350 GPS - which will play MP3s but only AA
books are bookmarkable.

With hopes that someone can point me to a utility I missed.

If .AA is same as .AAC, then this utility might be of interest.

Thanks Phil - It was suggested on another ng that they are the same,
for some reason I doubt it, but it will be easy to test. Will report
back when I have meaningful info.

Not sure it has any applicability. I thought you were going from AA to
MP3 (I misread it).
