Not Garmin specific but...
It kind pf even makes sense: with a lot of newer cars having built in
GPS systems and a lot of other people having portables that the leave on
the dash, thieves have apparently caught on to the fact that if your car
is there, your GPS is there, and your there somewhere, if they steal the
car with the GPS, they now know where you live (find/home), probably
have the garage door opener and time to clean out your house.
They steal the car, do a "find/home" or such on the gps, go there, park
in the garage and close the door and then raid the house. Be careful

If your really worried about someone finding where you live through your
GPS, just set 'Home' to be a block or two away from where you actually live.
You should be able to find the rest of the way home from there.

I'm not worried at all for reasons which we won't go into here... this

How about setting the "Home" location to the local police station. When you
notice your car is missing, call the police and have them be on the look
out! :-) My real home address is under "bobs bar"

Do you have evidence of this ? Crime reports ? Newspaper reports ?
What ? Where ? Or is it just an urban legend ?
