I crashed my old XP machine but saved the hard drive. I now am running
Windows 7.

I want to get my Mapsource data on the new machine but don't know how to do
it. I no longer have the CD's.

I believe that you can go to the Garman site and download the latest version
of Mapsource. Then install.

I believe that you can't as the downloadable version requires an earlier
version before it will install.

However, extract the files to a folder and run the .msi file. Then
install Mapsource as normal from the download.

Best of luck with windows 7, there is a lot of incompatibly between it
and windows xp. It took ages for me to get everything sorted, even now
the Canon printer does not work as well as before, the Canon scanner had
to be abandoned.

Hi,
Yes a lot of things will not work with windows 7 and there are no
drivers.

I had this problem but I created a secondary boot and when I need to use
my old outdated hardware I just boot into XP, do what I want then reboot, a
bit of messing about I know, but (for me) it beats the hell out of buying
new hardware.

Cheers
