I downloaded Mapsource City Navigator Europe v8 on my PC. While
installing, it asked me for the unlock code and I entered "DEMO". I
can now see the European maps and can zoom in and zoom out. But as
soon as I hit the "Find" menu, the program locks up and I get a pop up
box saying "There is a problem with this GARMIN application.....".
I've tried with some random unlock codes I found on the web but the
application still freezes up. Since the unlock code only comes into
play when uploading the maps to the GPS unit, I doubt if this problem
has anythign to do with unlock codes.
Any help is highly appreciated!!
You say you "downloaded" City Navigator, which suggests you're not using
original Garmin media.
Are you sure the copy you're working with is complete and intact?

I'm certain the copy is complete. I used it on my old PC it worked
wonderfully. I just bought a new laptop and want to re-install it on
this Win XPSP2 but I can't figure out why its giving me a hard time.
