Whats with the new approach with Garmin.

They used to give you a free CD with the latest Maps to be used with
Mapsource and then you unlocked it and uploaded to the GPS.

Now it seeems you have to purchase the 2010 CD from a dealer or Garmin and
then load.. Is this CD useable of do you have to activate it as before by
getting a code to unlock it.

Seems a very expensive way to get an updated map.

Well, if Garmin doesn't provide you the free DVD you paid for then why
don't you help yourself with the one people post on Internet. If you think
Garmin has to pay for your trouble then you may help yourself with some
crack?

IOW, do whatever you think it's the right thing for you, and no need to
complain here as this isn't Garmin's official group but bunch of Garmin
users like yourself.
