Thanks for the information. But to me, I still won't dare to touch the
newer version *until* Garmin adding a note saying something like
- Fixed the locking up, messing up the already installed map etc. some
customers have been whining.
Yup I have skipped several newer version cuz I am no longer can trust
Garmin, and I am still using v6.37 or something like at. I have a feeling
that someday the older Mapsource won't work with newer map, but I may have
to wait for that day (I don't think it will be long) to be forced to install
a newer version.
Again, thanks for the information.

I took a chance and installed it. All looks fine, even custom points
are there. very small difference in the speed scrolling to version
6.13.7 . big + in roads visibility and all visuals. For Canada still
problem with horizontal stretch. On the USA side ok. I have some third
party maps and no problems there. I am glad I installed the new
version Rudy.

I am still running MapSource version 16.13.4 (in UK) simply because on
reading the posts here I can't see a good enough reason to update. Very sad
the Garmin are losing what was a great reputation in both its products and
service.

I don't know if MapSource v6.15.4 is same with the version comes with
newer City Navigator v2009.1 or not, but if it's the same then I ain't gonna
trust it cuz I read few reports about the newer MapSource came with City
Navigator v2009.1 (or v2009.10 or v2009.11? cuz the thread was about the
newer v2009.xx).
And this is the first time I have skipped 2-3 newer version of
MapSource,because of the trust.
