I reported the problem with the beta to Garmin via email (no response) and one
of the hardware support guys. Don't know if it made it to software support or
not, but didn't care to have another indefinite wait on hold.

When I switched back to 6.13.7, I was able to accumulate them again. However
they'd be gone if I went back to the beta. I'm having the same clearing
problem with the new 6.14.1.

Don't know if this is a permanent solution, but I went into preferences and
reapplied the found places number values and this appears to have fixed it.

You say that at one point you switched back to 6.13.7. I'd like to do that but
can't find it at the Garmin site. I installed 6.14.1 but it is s-o-o-o-o slow.
Don't know what's wrong, but I want the previous version back. Can you help?

Must have had a 'senior moment'. I do "mirror image backups" and all I did was
restore the Garmin folder. Everything back to normal, and movement through
Mapsource 6.13.7 is as fast as it was before.

I'd say that 6.14.1 needs to go back to the drawing board.
