If you download this beta version you will still be able to switch
between it and 6.13.7.

Changes made from version 6.13.7 to 6.14.0.1:
Changed map rendering technology to provide visual improvements. This
may cause slower rendering on some older machines.
Incorporated new artwork into splash screen and application icons.
Added new product info dialog.
Added support for U.S. National grid and Swedish SWREF99 grid.
Fixed an issue when trying to set the PC clock on Vista.
Added ability to change the color of routes.

I installed 6.14.0.1 Beta and then uninstalled. I liked the map rendering
(more like MapQuest or Google), although the rendering was a bit slower.
The resolution seems to be considerably better, leading to smoother road
displays, and the roads are shades of tan/yellow instead of red, blue, and
gray.

However, this beta version refused to display any map text other than route
numbers and waypoints (no cities, POIs or geographical features) so I
uninstalled and reverted back to 6.13.7. Guess I'll wait for the golden
version, hopefully this will be corrected.

I noticed the same thing that cities are not displayed as 6.13.7 but
since I can run both at the same time 6.13.7 or 6.14.0.1 beta I am
leaving both on my computer. If you don't like it just click on the
regular MapSource icon to see 6.13.7. At least Garmin lets you see
both beta and non beta versions side by side.

When I first installed this beta version all was OK if rather slow. Tried to
change the font and have lost all alpha/numeric display on maps. Uninstall
and reinstall made no change so have emailed Garmin to let them know with
request for possible solution. Am running XP home edition.

I now have same problem after I changed map font size. Nothing worked
right as far as showind any street names or points of interests names.
When highlighting dot where city should be now shows another dot. I
have uninstalled and reinstalled and still does not work right. This
is a major bug. Have uninstalled untill next release.
