Have a NUVI 260. Tried to open MapSource from Programs>Garmin>MapSource
(used to work). Got the following Popup box error message--
"There is a problem with the City Navigation North America NT 2009
Installation. Please Reinstall City Navigation North America NT 2009 and
start MapSource again."
I have the CD for the 2009 Map having used it for an earlier update going
from 2008 to 2009 maps. If I use the CD does this mean that the complete
2009 Map (and presumably MapSource) will reinstall over what is already in
The NUVI? If so, any potential problem doing that?
Right now not having a problem with the NUVI and don't want to screw
anything up--especially since I'll be heading out on a 4000 mile trip in a
week.
TIA
MLD

Hi
If you drill down on the dvd, there is the installer file with the msi
extension, just run that and it will just re-install the application on
your PC.

It looks like more of a problem with the 2009 mapping files vs the program
files.

Hi
Took a look at the DVD per your suggestion. Found what I think you're
referring to---"F:>Windows/MSI/CNNANT2009Update_ENU.msi."
labeled as "Windows Installer Package". Is this the file that will
reinstall the (English Version) of MapSource? Also in the MSI folder there
is a "Disk1 Cab" folder and a number of other "*.msi" files which I
assume are for other languages.
Your comments appreciated.
