My Nuvi 205 always freezes in the same area. The voice and distance display
continues. The map is frozen but the car icon re-orients itself as I drive.
To re-set I have to switch off and unplug to get it to re-boot when out of
the area. It is annoying as it is on a route that I often use
Any suggestions?
Memorize the route and don't use the Garmin.

I know - but it is annoying to know that there is a fault and it interrupts
the journey (timings, etc) and makes it impossible to loan it to my less
technical wife.

I think your wife can handle "Turn it off and on again once you get past
the H.M. warehouse", or whereever it goes stupid. Women are cleverer
than one might think.

Some of us rely on the traffic feature for our daily commutes and your
suggestion doesn't help in those cases.
