That's what "lifetime warrantee" means and will always be.

This is where I'm at as well. My current main is one of the MSN Direct
units, and that's Going Away in 18 months which means I'd want something
else to continue getting traffic info anyway, and I'm getting to the
point that I'm hoping for something that allows customizing proximity
avoidance so I can flag my own "NONE SHALL PASS!" construction zones in
the navigation calcs. So, GPS shopping in autumn of 2011 means there's
little incentive to get minor polishings on maps current as of the end
of 2009....

I don't think you need anyone else comment but how you like your decision.
And if you won't mind me giving some general reasons.

- If you gonna keep your current GPS for several years. Like 4-5 years or
so

- If you want to upgrade to newer map at least once a year

- If you are nopt the people who spend $$$ and not happier than the one who
won't spend $$$$
