Heheheh talking about photographer like myself who save tens of thousands
of dollars by going DIGITAL, and refilling ink cartridge instead of spending
around $120-140 for 6 original cartridges (cost around or less than $2-3 of
ink) which prints probably around 15-20 full pages. I haven't printed my
own for years since I can get much cheaper print from photolab.
BTW, I only use inkjet prinnter to print DVD label.

The offering of lifetime updates, but only for your existing unit, seems a
little counter-productive because it will be a deterrent for Garmin users to
replace their units.

Nevertheless, that's exactly how it works.

Don't even get me started on the MCSEs I know. It's a miracle of
modern technology that some of these fsckwits still draw breath,
much less a paycheck.

When I was offered a reasonably priced 'lifetime guarantee' on a new
television, I carefully read through the terms and conditions, and the
lifetime guarantee turned out to be for the lifetime of the television, (not
my lifetime), and the television also had its date of death pre-announced,
so the 'lifetime guarantee' was for the lifetime of the product, and the
product's lifespan was actually set by the manufacturer. If you are offered
a lifetime guarantee on anything, check the small print carefully, and watch
out for statements such as "The lifetime guarantee relates the the life of a
Mayfly"

Tommy: Let's think about this for a sec, Ted. Why would somebody put a
guarantee on a box? Hmmm, very interesting.
Ted Nelson, Customer: Go on, I'm listening.
Tommy: Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a box
'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty inside.
Ted Nelson, Customer: Yeah, makes a man feel good.
Tommy: 'Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that little
box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and
leave a quarter, am I right, Ted?
Ted Nelson, Customer: [impatiently] What's your point?
Tommy: The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue
sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy; well, we're
not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The
next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your
daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times.
Ted Nelson, Customer: But why do they put a guarantee on the box?
Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of
shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in
a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for
your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think
about buying a quality product from me.
