Folks,

I was wondering if there are any current speed camera data sets for
the US? I have several Garmin GPS's that I use and would like to load
one with this data if it is available. I know such data sets exist for
the UK and Europe but have never seen one for the US.

The US does not have speed cameras.

Not yet. I think the newest in Europe is a set of cameras that compare
pictures and the time between them. If an identified car goes, on
average, at more than the maximum speed on the highway portion between
the cameras, the owner gets a ticket in the mail. They say that only the
speeding cars data is retained ...

Is Arizona part of the US? AZ certainly has speed cameras. The POI Factory
currently has 199 speed cameras (and 2676 red light cameras) in its POI
database for the USA and Canada:

Thanks for that, Mike. The folks who receive those $210 MINIMUM fine
tickets from the Arizona Department of Public Safety on the I-101 Loop
around the Phoenix Metroplex will be happy to hear that it was just
their imagination.<g>
