I'm using the GPS10 SIRF/Bluetooth sensor together with Garmin software on a
Palmpilot e2. Travelling through NYC today, I got a very large number of
'lost satellite reception' messages. Very odd. Knowing how good the SIRF
chipset is at maintaining lock, I didn't really think that lock was the
problem, especially since this was occuring with clear view of the sky. At
first I thought that the problem was with interference from a large number
of bluetooth devices (6-8 lanes of traffic each way), but the behavior
continued even on the smaller roads.

Then I realized that this seemed to coincide with a map redraw. I reset the
software to have the minimum level of detail, and the problem stopped. I'm
guessing that the palm gets so busy with the display that it 'drops' the
bluetooth connection and then has to reconnect.

Anyone else have this experience?

GPS10 has SIRF chip? I thought that wasn't until GPS 10x aka Mobile 10
in November.
