Hi all,
I'm having a frustrating time trying to use my SatNav the way I want to.
Typically during the week I will be sent an Excel spreadsheet with client
details on it,
typically with headers across the top like:
<OutletID>,<OutletName>,<Address1>,<Address2>,<Address3>,<PostCode> etc.
I have up until this point imported these directly into MapPoint (Currently
using MP2004), and by
highlighting a particular area I can export the pushpins to create a "daily
call list" back to Excel.
All well and good so far, but what I *really* want to do, is to import those
addresses into my Nuvi 310 so I can get round them easily. It seems there is
no way to import addresses directly into Mapsource, so I need to either
enter each address manually, or use the POI loader.
With me so far?!
Ok, to use the POI loader I need the map co-ordinates for each of my
imported pushpins, but I can't find any way of persuading MapPoint to spit
out a list of the co-ordinates of each of my pushpins, so I'm back to
manually entering the co-ordinates for each call in MapSource.
Is there any way to import a list of waypoints into Mapsource from a file,
so that I can upload them to my Nuvi?
It seems like the sort of thing that lots of people would use, so I'm
suprised that I can't do it. Is there any way this can be done?
Thanks for looking.
