Much of the POI information comes from submittals from local Chamber of
Commerce (read an article on this). Data base can not be any better than
data submitted. When my nuvi was new there were a lot of
missing/incorrect businesses here in town. Lots of changes on businesses
coming and going.

Also not sure if this data is generated by Garmin or comes from Navtec who
supplies the mapping data.

This response does not answer why the Garmin GPS does not list Hobby
Lobby in their search, but if you want to set your GPS to go to a Hobby
Lobby, do the following:
Go to the Hobby Lobby site, click on the 'Stores' link on the banner.
Here it is.
http://www.hobbylobby.com/stores/store_locations_search.cfm
Find out if your State even has a Hobby Lobby store (State will be in
dark Blue). 13 do not.(light Blue).
Click on your dark Blue State or nearest dark Blue State.
Find the nearest store in the list for the state you selected.
Copy the address.
Open Google map.
Paste the address into the location box.
When the map shows the store location for the store you selected, plug
your Garmin GPS into your computer's USB port (you can do this even
before starting all this searching).
Click on the 'Send' link in the bar above the Google map (it has an
Envelope icon).
In the window that pops up, click on the GPS.link on the left side.
Find Garmin in the 'Brand:' box.
Press the 'Send' button on the bottom.
Check the box for your Garmin device series.
Click on 'Send to GPS' button.
The next message will be 'Your locations have been sent', if successful.
Unplug your Garmin from the computer and check to see that the store
location has been added to the Favorites location.
If there, you can edit the link to read "Hobby Lobby" rather than it
just having a street address.
It sounds like a lot of work, but it's only a half dozen clicks, or so,
and a little typing.
HTH.

Maybe I'm old school, but if I went to the web site and got the
address of the nearest store, I would stop right there and simply type
the address into the GPS and save it. Done.
