I am a newbie, I have just installed MapSource on my computer for use with
my nuvi 765. The only thing I want to use it for is to add waypoints by
their address. This is for a delivery route. It would be great if I could
cut and paste multiple addresses from Excel to the program. When I click
Edit/New Waypoint I see a box labeled "Position" that looks like it contains
longitude & latitude specs. How do I simply put in an address as a
waypoint, and is there a way I can cut & paste multiple addresses?
Thanks in advance... Bob
BTW Bob - you have to be careful with a GPS system for residential
addresses,
as the original GIS mapping info may not exactly overly the GPS address
mapping.
In other words - an GPS address may be a couple of houses off....
You might try a couple locations and see what your results are,
or even on Google, Mapquest, etc -

I have used the GPS by inputing many addresses to the unit manully and it

has been perfect. Would inputting them from MapSource be any less accurate?
(I still don't know how to input an address in MapSource though).

I must be dense. You put in the house number on the top line and the next
> ..louie
line says "Please select a street", obviously it doesn't have every street
in the city on that list, what gives? Where do I type all the information?
