FWIW, the University of Arizona offers masters programs in engineering --
mechanical, at least.

It's still hotter n' hell in summer (late April - mid-October), though. ;-)

I haven't read all of the replies so this may have already been
mentioned. As a second unit I bought a Nuvi 855 from Amazon a few months
back for $185.00 with free shipping, the last time I was on Amazon the
price had dropped to under $150.00. This is a pretty nice unit with
quite a few features including voice commands. You can go to Garmin's
site and download the manuals for most or maybe all of the gps models.

ok thanks will check it out

the voice commands would be handy... but do they work
WELL...or just half assed?

I have a Nuvi 855 as well. Got it on Amazon for $150. Now they
are $140.53:

If you look at that link you will find dozens of user reviews.
The first review is very long and very detailed.

I used the voice command feature for a couple weeks, then
stopped. I found it more distracting to look at the screen to see
whether my last voice command was accepted than I do to glance at
it each time I press an item on the screen.

We travel full time and I am very happy with the 855. I
downloaded TTSVoiceEditor to increase the max volume level on the
device, which many complain is too low.
