I put my nüvi 650 into "Pedestrian" mode, went to a couple of gravesites in
a cemetery and saved the locations of each in my Favorites.

How can I get the coordinates for each of these locations that I saved? The
obvious way is to go back to each location in person, and copy down the
coordinates from the satellite signal strength display screen. Is there
some other way to get the coordinates without physically going back there?

Thanks to your hint, Jack, I thought to connect the nüvi to my PC via USB,
and opened Windows File Explorer to find the .gpx file on the nüvi. I then
used WnBrowse (a read-only file browser) to view the contents of the file
and found the coordinates I was looking for.

Thanks!

True enough. However, Notepad is not "read-only", so there is a [small]
risk you could inadvertantly alter something in the .gpx file. Not good.
That's why I used a read-only file browser.

Re: format - the .gpx file is "structured" (XML), so it is feasible to make
sense of it.

yeah - just noticed that on my Garmin Nuvi 260...
same idea - marked a couple of "places",
but now can't "see" the coords unless we go to the FAVS file...
Hard to share or send to someone else.... bummer

Wish it had a display option, just like the other entered "data".

I'm using EasyGPS to open the GPX file to "easily" see the info captured as
Favs.
