Looking for a map for Germany driving vacation,
and there appears to be two versions that cover this area...
Wonder what the differences might be,
as the "Europe" version you can click and try,
but the other "Alps + DACH" has no map click to try,
or see what version is avail.

Europe NT
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=253&pID=6299#coverageTab
with a map click to zoom and try it - also click shows as 2011.10

and Alps & DACH
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=253&pID=28772#coverageTab

Just a guess but I would think DACH stands for Germany, Austria & Switzerland.

already had that discusssion in another thread....
This question, since you can't actually view the DACH map online,
was about what the differences might be.....

Well, DACH is 400 MB and Europe is 1.86 GB, so the obvious first guess
is that one's a LOT bigger than the other because it covers more
territory. DACH (US$99) is somewhat cheaper than Europe (US$149), so the
first guess is that it covers less territory.

How did you find the file sizes ?
I see that the "download reqs" reflect filesize of 2GB and 400MB.

That would make sense....
based upon just file size
it could be the same exact data, just carved a small slice vs whole thing.

But since the DACH or any of the "slices" are not online interactive,
can't try it out with a sample "view map" zoom into a small town.
