I was looking thru Garmin's site to get info on various models in the
Nuvi line. Only the Nuvi 500 was listed as Geocaching capable (they
may have used different term), the rest were listed as "no". The only
difference I could tell from the site was that the 500 was water
resistant. Is that they only difference or is there something the 500
does that they rest don't that makes it much better for geocaching?
how will you be using your GPS ?
I have a couple of Nuvi's for the cars,
and a very old Garmin 12 just for Geocaching.
For me - and Geocaching - I just want a plain simple "arrow pointer"
and the lat/lon reading to lead me to the cache.
The newer models make it easier to see the list of caches, icons, etc
Might also look around over at the Geocaching forum -
