Garmin makes more than just Nuvi's. They make a lot of the GPS
devices that are extra-cost options in cars. I even read that Garmin
is going to bring out a cell phone with GPS under their own name.

Their profit has taken a hit because of the competition from Tom-Tom,
Magellan and others. There seems to be a price war on right now with
Nuvi prices dropping like rocks. Makes sense, I bought just in time
to miss the price drops.

The "nuvifone" supposed to be released this year has been delayed.
