I was in Owatonna, MN yesterday and wanted to stop at the Cabela's store
on my way home. I'd seen it on the east side of I-35 while driving down
but didn't recall the exit and wasn't sure about the access road layout.
I pushed "Find" on my 76CSx, selected "Shopping," but it didn't show up
in the list ordered by distance. I switched to "Find by Name" and all I
found were stores in Nebraska, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Texas.
When I got home, I fired up MapSource and found the store easily enough
under the default "All Points of Interest." It turns out that it's not
under "Shopping" at all, but is categorized as a "Garmin Dealer."
On the 76CSx itself, the only way to find that store is to either search
under "All POI" or under "Others" since "Garmin Dealer" isn't even a
category you could choose and isn't one I'd have thought to use anyway.

There's only one set of maps installed in the 76CSx - CNNA 2009.
But it has nothing to do with the map set, but with the silly category
that Garmin placed the store into, namely "GARMIN Dealer."
The only way to find that Cabela's store (and 17 others!) is to select
"Others", or to select "All POI."
After a little more poking around, I did find the sub-category "GARMIN
Dealer" under "Others."
Perfectly obvious, right?

And that last is the right way to do it when you're searching by name.
The real problem isn't that it was categorized but that you'd
(inadvertantly?) selected VERY narrow criteria that didn't account for
the possibility of flawed data. And, I'll tell you a secret: *all* data
has flaws.
