If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Today we were out walking/hiking in a local arboretum,
and remember seeing that the newer Garmin outdoor GPS units
could take a map image - like a local trail, park, etc -
and use is basically as wallpaper and sync with a set of coords
thus yielding a local map on the GPS.

Wonder if anyone has actually tried this ?
