Hello,

I was wondering if there are any big differences between the c330 and the
c340? I am planning on getting the c330 NEW from circuit city for the price
of $224.00. I know the c340 still retails for $300-$400. Whats the main
difference between these units?

Also, would cold temps in the 10-20 degree area be that bad for the unit?

Thanks,
Al

I hate to tell you this :P but look at the link. The C330 and the C340
are not listed.

Yes, they are. Look towards the bottom, not up with the Nuvi line. Look in
the fourth line, numbers 4 and 5 from the left. Now that I've done that much
for you, I'm not telling what the two differences are.

Okay thanks, I looked at the compare option and I found only two
differences. The c340 has optional traffic and speaks street names as
opposed to just speaking the amount of feet to turn. Neither make much
difference because i wasnt planning on spending $200.00 on the traffic
antenna or worrying about the street name when you cant see it at night
anyway. The map on the gps will show it though.

Any thoughts about cold temps? I live in RI so our summers are generally
85F-95F degrees and the car temp will reach about 150F. Our spring and fall
are more in the 40F-70F degree range, but the winters can be brutal. An
average winter daytime temp is about 20F degrees and at night the temp has
gone into the negatives with wind chills as low as -20F. So I am thinking
that its a good idea to bring it in at night or if the temp is lower than
30F.

If you did have to get a new battery, would you just bring it to Circuit
City for instance and ask them to put a new battery in it or is that
something that has to go to the factory??

Thanks,
Al
