Hello,

I have a Garmin Nuvi 200 with the USA maps installed. This leaves
about 20MB free in the main memory of the unit.
Now i want to add extra (European) maps using Mapsource.
When i select a bunch of maps in mapsource to upload i get a warning
that there is not enoug room.
How can i direct mapsource to add the extra maps on an extra installed
SD card in the unit?

Hope somebody can help me.

Regards.

If you put a sd-card(2gb) in the Nuvi then your pc has a extra HD and you

I do not have Nuvi 200 but I have Nuvi 680, and this is how I upload
addiotnal map to the 8GB SDHC memory card (TOPO 2008 BTW)

1. Installed TOPO 2008 to computer

2. Load MapSource then select TOPO 2008

3. Because TOPO 2008 has over 4000 blocks when Garmin limits to around 2025
blocks or so. So, I just selected my state and the near by area (it was a
test so it was about 200-300 blocks)

4. Tell MapSourse to transfer to device then I select the drive leter of the
SD card. I use Card Reader and didn't have Nuvi 680 connected (just to make
sure)

That's it! and Nuvi detects and show all the available maps, and I can
select any available map's I want.

All,
Thanks for the reactions.
I found out that Mapsource after it detected the Nuvi, has an extra
selection possibility for selecting the installed SD card as the
destination of the maps. (This was not clear to me the first time as
it is not visible...)
