If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options

If they change the algorithms that could potentially screw up a lot of
devices out there. I think Garmin's hands are more or less tied...

Me? just requiring internet connection for installation, registration, and
upgrading etc. should be bad enough to piss lot of customers already, and I
can't image how poor Garmin marketing is. Or Garmin just wait for some
company to kick its behind to the curve, and it won't be long.
Just like Sprint (cell phone company) few months ago I read last year
almost 4 million customers walked away because of the poor customer service,
and lousy billing problem.
Garmin, I haven't upgraded to newer version to know what is going on, but
few years ago I had to reinstall my Windows and needed to install the old
City Navigator v4.01 and it took me awhile to figure out the old Name & PW
to be able to continue the installation (unlock the CN).
