I just migrated from Garmin GPS-V to 60Csx....what a joy. The sensitivity
of the 60Csx is like a GPS-V on steroids. I date back to the multiplexing
GPS-45 in '96, and am amazed at the progress in sensitivity and lock-on.
For those considering the Garmin Colorado, do your homework.
One question regarding the little stainless steel holddown clip for the
microSD card...anybody else have a problem with the clip shifting during
use, and allowing the SD to lose contact, hence loss of map? On my first
hike with the 60Csx, I lost the topo map because the clip shifted. Wonder
if road vibration could also cause this clip to move. Hopefully this is a
once in a lifetime occurance. Maybe I'm not doing something right?
Appreciate any thoughts/suggestions you might have.
Cheers,
Jim
I assume that once the micro SD card is installed you are sliding the clip
to the closed position as described in the manual.
Thanks Dick...the clip was slid toward to bottom of the GPSr. There is no
positive "feel" to the lock position. Is that your experience?

I had a problem, once, with the clip coming undone while using nimh
batteries that were slightly oversize. I just made sure that the clip
was firmly seated, re-installed the same batteries and have not had a
problem since.
Having said all that I'm certain I'll have a problem next time I change
batteries. :)

When I first changed micro SD cards, I sort of fumbled with the clip. After
a little playing around I figured out how it worked better, and can now more
easily install cards. It might be helpful to watch it under a magnifier as
you release/close the clip to better visualize how the mechanism is
desingned to work.
