Like I said, I like all the features of the 780 better then the 1 useful
feature of the 2820 or the other ZUMO's. I have a 2610 and I know how large
and bulky they are. The Nuvi is much smaller, thinner then those. I can
only hope Garmin will make it more Bluetooth friendly, which is just
Bluetooth headset friendly, for use in the car as well as Motorcycle. If
Garmin can do it with the 2820 and Zumo's then they can just as easily do it
on the Nuvi's.

Wonder how long we will have to wait?

Who knows. They said they forwarded my e-mail for that request, I would
hope others will do the same thing. If enough people ask for that feature,
maybe they'll add it. I just don't like the ZUMO's and the smaller screen.
I like my NUVI 780 with the larger screen, and MSN Direct support. Again,
it's being done on the ZUMO and even the Streetpilot 2870 I guess, so why
not the Nuvi???

I have a nuvi 770 and a Samsung phone which is not listed on the
Garmin list of compatible phones (the new Gleam 700). My Bluetooth
connection wouldn't work until I got in touch with the Garmain tech
support and received a DOWNgrade of the BT software from them by e-
mail that I installed on the nuvi without any problems and--voila!
everything started working great between my nuvi and the cell phone.
There are two things, though, I don't like: 1) the phonebook is
volatile and vanishes after the connection is lost (it takes a while
to get it transferred again) and 2) I have not figured out how to make
calls requiring multiple sets of numbers with pauses (like calling my
cheap intn'l. service, then country number etc. etc., but it's a mnor
problem.

So, downgrade your nuvi BT software to S/W version 2.40 (HW100-SW240)
and enjoy the connection!

The Bluetooth ZUMO's can also do this. I wish the NUVI would also. I
didn't want the ZUMO as I would be using it mostly in the car for one thing,
I also wanted the larger screen and MSN direct, so I got the 780. I figured
it supported Bluetooth I would be able to link up with it with my Bluetooth
headset. Well I can't. You can only link up with your phone. This is
pretty lame. Even in a Car, Not everyone wants to use the built in Mic, and
speaker and would rather use a headset where you can be heard better, and
hear what the GPS says better, especially when the Radio is playing and your
not using that FM Modulator. Not being Waterproof isn't a problem. I
don't ride my Motorcycle in the rain. I think there's more crazy's on the
road when it's raining!!!! Besides I can get a fully waterproof case for the
Nuvi 700 series anyway if needed.
