My GPSmap 60cx came with a 1 Gig Micro SD card. What higher capacity
can I expand to and are the Micro SD HC cards compatible?
Many thanks.
GPSMAP 60Cx software version 4.00
http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=1225
Changes made from version 3.70 to 3.90:
* Added support for maps greater than 2 GB.
(But this does not change the limit on the number of map tiles.)
Thank you Mark. I checked the software version in my system menu. It
reads: Software Version 4.20 GPS SW Version 2.30M
Confused about the 2 versions listed. Is my 4.20 version OK for added
map support above 2 GB ?
Many thanks again.

This group includes some vehement critics of 'top posting' so I have
transposed your response to the bottom.
Yes, it is the Software Version 4.20 that counts. I don't know the
significance of the GPS SW Version: perhaps someone can tell us.
See the thread 76csx for a fuller discussion of card sizes. I am confident
that this also applies to 60Cx.

The 'Software' is for your Garmin unit's operating system, user
interface, POI management, map management, and routing calculations.
The 'GPS SW' is for the GPS satellite system signal processing,
tracking, acquisition, time sync operations and position calculations.
