There are others suitable, but I am happy with GA 25MCX low profile remote
GPS antenna (see https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=1326 ). I have used
it on a car roof and on my hat with eMap and GPS V. With GPSmap 60CSx the
lock is so good that I have not needed an external antenna. Mark I

I'm glad I'm not the only one who wears a GPS antenna on my hat!

In my case, for accurate mapping of hiking trails while my 76CSx
is tucked away in my backpack:

The MK-76 I use works fine:

I've had very good service from Gilsson antennas (www.gilsson.com). I
applied Velcro "loop" material to the bottom of my Gilssons and then
simply toss them on top of my dashboard under the windshield. My GPS
unit works great. An alternative would be to get a HandStands "Sticky
Pad"
so the antenna doesn't slide around. I'm often in rental cars and I
want something quick and easy to travel with and set up.
