If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options

Not sure I'd recommend that unless you are careful to make sure no other
external file operations are occurring during this period.
It should help, or at least not much as any relatively modern computer
should have capabilities to handle this above and beyond most peoples
Internet connections.

I downloaded this weekend. Actually had to do it twice. File was
corrupt.
My ISP connection is 12 Mbps but the Garmin site seened to be limited
to less than 1 Mbps. (4 connections).
With a 2 GB file I would think they would include some error
correction capability. Not everyone has high speed.
