I am eligibile for the free map download from Garmin.I have been told that
the download and install process will take hours! Cna anyone give me a
approximate time for this process to complete.I have high speed cable and
download at 200 kbs or higher.

I just updated my Nuvi yesterday. I only have T-1 speed to my house and
it took me about 4 hours to download the 2.06GB 2010.40 City Navigator
NA update.

at 100mbps -- 4 minutes

you downloaded with a 100mbps connection ?
and where was this ?
