Ok - te set the Elevation on my Rino I'm lookng for a Fix Elevation
Point.
With my 76CS I foud that the USGS Marker from the 1940s on the Corner
Stone where I use to go to Church was off - but for the Life of me I'm
not sure how I found that out and how far it is off.
Is there a listing ofKnow elevation points? Espcially in Central NY.
Thanks!

I use http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/datasheet.prl to find some
government-placed benchmarks.
http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/ds_radius.prl checks near some point.

hmmm -
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=8523

Wonder if the Rino uses the barometric pressure for the altimeter reading ?
or the usual calc from the GPS sats ?

They say that it is a 76CSX with a GMSR sooo...
It does either.
I noticed that when driveing that when I open my window all of a
sudden the elevation cghanges by about 20 t!! So I would say I have it
in the Barometric mode.
Though the 2 Rinos I have are also about 20 feet higer/lower than each
other even when side by side - got to get them calibrated! (c:

My GPSMap60cs will change about 20 feet when I press the rocker button on
the front of the unit.
