If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Will someone please tell me where I enter the FM Traffic number in My Gamin
I have been all over the page and still can't find where you enter this
number.
Thanks
Question: How do I activate a FM Traffic Subscription?
Answer:
If you have purchased a Clear Channel or Navteq FM Traffic
Subscription, you will need to log into your myGarmin account and activate
the subscription before you are able to use the service.
(If your device came with a traffic subscription, activation occurs
automatically and the steps below are not necessary).
1.. Log into your myGarmin account
2.. You will see an alert on the Home tab notifying you of your
purchase
3.. Click the Activate Now button under the notification
4.. Select your unit using the drop down menu and click Next
5.. Follow the process for finding your traffic receiver's Unit ID
6.. Enter your traffic receiver's Unit ID in the text box and click
Next
7.. Follow the steps on the next page for entering your traffic
subscription code(s)1
8.. Once you have entered the traffic subscription verify that you
are currently in a coverage area
a.. Navteq Coverage Area
b.. Clear Channel Coverage Area
Once these steps have been completed, your subscription should be
activated within 10 to 15 minutes.
1Navteq FM Traffic services require two codes in order to work in
both the United States and Canada. You will be provided with both codes
after step 6. Please enter each code separately
Thanks ED but I see no alert on the home tab. Maybe I didn't make things
clear I have owned my Nuvi 660 for sometime but just recently purchased a
new power cord with life time traffic (GTM 20 with lifetime traffic) but do
not see a place to enter this long number that was displayed on the Nuvi and
was told to go to www.garmin.com/fmtraffic no place there to enter any
number.
Thanks

I believe that before anything gets done, you have to log into your
account and register your product. Garmin needs to know that you
made a purchase and what the serial# is. Its possible that your
Nuvi made need a software update to go further
Take a look at the FAQ on MyGarmin for an idea of what
is needed.:
Ed there is no place on my account to register this item that I can find.
You can register new Nuvis, and other items but not this item that I can
see. Web site really needs to be more user friendly.
Thanks for the reply
