Has anyone used third party memry to extetend the memory of thier GPS?

I have a Garmin 76CSx that came with 128 MB and I could expand my memory to
256 MB by replacing the micro SD card with one twice the size by buying it
from Garmin for $25. Or I could by simular cards for $8 from other places.
Is 256 the largest card that the 76CSx can use?

Many here have SanDisk micro SD's. Mine is a 2G and works
fine. Personally, I wouldn't go with a different brand.

Steve,

POI: I looked for a SanDisk for my 76CSx, but the local FS did not have that
brand in 2 GB.

I bought the Verbatim 2 GB and it worked flawlessly.

First report I've heard on Verbatim but that doesn't
surprise me given my experience with their DVD's.

SanDisk 2GBs are available all over the net for about 15
bucks if you're not in a hurry.

Good info on the Verbatim though, thanks.
