Have a nuvi 260. Using it on a trip and it was doing what it was supposed to
do---Then turned it on after a stop and it seemed to go crazy.
1. Arrival time became very inconsistent--Gave times in the past- predict
arrival at 3 pm when the time was actually 3:30 pm. Then it would predict a
time way too long for the distance--eg. to go a mile it would predict an
arrival time more than an hour later. Then at times the arrival time was
blank. Then instead of arrival time, it gave the "Speed and Compass" info
along with the highlighted route.
2. Said to follow the "Hightlighted Line" and the vehicle icon was
positioned on another road.
3. Set up a route that was way off base, longer and through small towns
despite having "faster" selected and even though I was on a highway that led
directly to the destination. Kept recalculating and wanting me to get off
at every off-ramp.
Am thinking of trying an Master Reset before calling Garmin. Am caught up
with all the latest software etc.
Comments appreciated.

Thanks for sharing the experience. And if it happens more than once or
more than twice then I would pay closer attention to it. Else, enjoy some
odd error that not many people have the chance to witness it.

Thanks for your perceptive, informative but useless comment--

Jokes on me--forgot to reset the Mode from Pedestrian to Auto. All is well
now. Another learning experience that I'm happy to pass along--And I was so
looking forward to getting a new Unit.
