Next week we're traveling to a country not covered by Garmin maps.

Is there a way to just enter a list of LAT-LONG identifying hotel,
sites, stations, etc?

Thanks

Into Mapsource or directly into your receiver?

If the receiver, which one?

In Mapsource, simply select "New Waypoint" and enter the coordinates in
the "Position" field.

On my 76CSx, the coordinates are entered into the "Location" field of
the waypoint dialog (page 11 & 12 of the manual), tediously.

Thanks. It's an eTrex HCx, and I'd be glad to enter those waypoints in
the handheld OR in Mapsource. I can find the lat-long of my desired
sites on Google Earth.

What country is it? If there is a map here:

http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/

Either install in under MapSource if you can and upload it or, if it is
a gmapsupp.img supplemental mapping file, copy it to an extra microSD
card and change to that card later.

Thanks!
I just visited a friend who helped straighten me out. All's well.
