I have a nuvi 250 that came with 2008 maps installed; this spring I
bought a 2011 map on an SD card and chose it as the map source to use
in one of the screens, I can't remeber now which one - it was hard to
find. Anyhoo, when I search for POI's I quite ofter see many
duplicates in the lists, not that there weren't semi-duplicates before
with slightly different names or distances; but now there are many
exact duplicates. Is the nuvi somehow using both POI's (2008+2011),
but only the mapping from 2011? Is there a way to verify this, or
force the nuvi to just use the 2011 data exclusively?
Thanks for your help,
Norm

installed. POI files on the other hand are all loaded and merged at
startup time. I deliberately use multiple POI files simply because some
are 3rd party add-ons which I update now and then and another couple are
my personal ones which I update frequently. I have a *lot* of POIs and it
can take some time to update and upload one monolithic POI file.

You cannot simply assume someone is honest
just because they are not an MP.
Thanks Dave!
