The Garmin\Text, Voice and \Help folders have dozens of text and voice files
for languages I'll never need. Also, there are a bunch of photos I don't
care about in the \JPEG folder.

Can I delete unwanted/unneeded files to gain extra space?

To add custom POIs...but my main thinking was that POI searches and routing
calculations would go faster on an uncluttered, defragmented drive.

removing files that are not used doesn't change the calculation speed of
a processor. Defragmentation will occur hardly because all that happens
on the disk is reading the files, not writing.

Calc speed is the same-- but wouldn't the read time be longer on a
fragmented drive?
