I've tried to get my Garmin ique M5 to have the correct daylight
savings time. The Garmin web site links to a Microsoft site where
there a couple of options but nothing seems to work. One alternative
is to download and run a program on the pc with the Garmin unit
connected via Active Sync. The other is to download a CAB file, load
it on the Garm and run it there.

Neither works for me. I am what most people consider, computer
literate and maybe an "expert" so I think I'm doing things correctly.

Everything is updated to the latest.
I've tried both methods on two different computers.

Anybody have an idea?

Thanks

Hi
Have you checked your BIOS clock setting is ok and not an hour out? I
would look at setting your windows system to sync to an external time
source then trying the process again.

Have you read this one?

I'm not familiar with the Garmin ique M5 but when you bring up the
Setup/Time window does your Garmin allow you to enter the UTC Offset
or, in fact, offer you a "Standard"/"Daylight Savings" time option?

If the latter, it's a no-brainer. If the former, add 1 to the current
UTC offset (i.e. where it is normally -8, it becomes -7 for DST).

I have updated my daylight savings time today, by selecting:

Locale, CHANGE ALL (not "time"!) and when it asks about Daylight Savings, I
say "off" rather than auto.

Cheers!
