I updated my nüvi760 to the danish Nana tts voice. However it sucks.
Roadnames sounds terrible, and the voice misses syllabels in long (ie in
turnabouts) sentences. Luckly I still have the Nana withoutt TTS, but I
would rather use TTS.
It's is not because Danish is specially difficult, as both my Tomtom sounds
great with TTS, as well as my sons Mio.
Does anyone know if there is som patches/updates that make Nana (or any
other TTS danish voice)sound reasonable?

I don't think so. AFAIK all TTS voices are OK as long as they are English
and used in countries with English place names. Try for fun to switch to any
English TTS in the same Denmark :-) IMHO it just too much effort to make it
right for a not so big market.

I believe that's an arrogant attitude :-)
I know, Garmin is the most sold GPSbrand in dk. The least sold brands do TTS
very well, Tomtom and Mio being the most known, and Tomtom even holding more
voices, mail and female.
I think it is bad business , as Garmin has sold the product, but it is
evidently not tested before release. Next time I'll go for Tomtom.

Yes, it is. Simply they have probably the bigest share in NA and notso small
in the Western Europe. Their pricing and licensing pollicy shows the same.

It is bad, but sometimes you just have to use Garmin. The cases can be, if
you travel to some Eastern countries of Europe or even further. As Garmin is
really popular, many local mapping companies make their production for it,
but not for the others.
If it would be next time for me, I would probably choose a generic PNA with
possibility to have iGO software. It's probably the best combination of
features of software and well supported local maps.
