I thought I would try out this Garmin Mobile PC but apparently it does not
run on Windows 7 64 bit. So now I have to format a laptop and dig up a
Windows XP disc and try again.
It is always something with this computer stuff.
The install program seemed to run okay but then in the Garmin box there was
nothing but the safety warning and no application.
So now maybe I will try the Microsoft package and see if that one works.

I dunno about any of that. I just reformatted one laptop and put on Vista.
The Garmin thing worked fine with that and the display is just like a big
screen Nuvi. It is a learn-as-you-go process.

Win7 Pro & Ultimate have downloadable MS 32 bit VMs/

Thanks for that heads up but I have no problem with having on PC running
Vista so I can use the Garmin software. A 32 bit Virtual Machine sounds
real good but I will pass on that operation. I am mainly a hardware fan and
most, if not all, software just whizzes right over my head without making
any impression. I do not even know what Excel does after all of these
years. Every time I get an email with an Excel attachment I wonder, how did
they do that?
