Create line route map in Google maps from Garmin FR305

Tried various websites and conversion processes but I can't seem to get rid
of my hundreds of waypoints (usually displayed as squares).

Please can anyone advise what steps are required to get a line route map of
my run into my Google Maps account.

full of all these little squares. I want to hide them and just display a
route line, maybe with a marker every km or mile.

If Wordpress.org, then you could upload your tracks to GPSies. Then you
can use the iframe option to add the map to your blog, see
http://www.gpsies.com/page.do?page=linkus (Wordpress.org doesn't allow
iframes).

Or there are a variety of Google Maps plugins for Wordpress.org, and I
think some will let you show map with a GPX file as an overlay.
I've not tried any of them myself, though I've used the OSM plugin which
will do this for OpenStreetMap maps.

For the map being full of little squares, it sounds like you are showing
a route, made up of waypoints? If you convert it to a track, it should
be just a line. You can do this with GPSBabel and a transform filter.
