I've just gotten CNNA 2011.4 into MapSource on my desktop computer by
telling the update program to install maps to both GPS and computer.
Must I wait for the next update to copy these maps to my laptop so that
MapSource installed there can access them, or is there some other way to
do this. During the update process, I did tell it to leave the
installation files on the computer. I have no idea where they are or
what they might look like.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I followed those steps, only to find that the maps were locked.
While I was trying to unlock, using 'Unlock Online', I got distracted by
noticing that the web site map screen had an item "Download again".
I followed that path, rather than the unlock path, and now have my maps
on the laptop, without any locks in the way.
Nothing succeeds like success!

I should've thought of that... duh. Forgot that one could directly
download again. Good reminder, thanks. The map being locked is due to
the new GMA protection mechanism built into the latest MapSource.
There's probably a GMA file and/or registry entries that need to be
replicated but I've no experience with this. Glad you got the map working.
