When I connect mine to my pc the manual says I
should see an on-screen USB Mass Storage Button
which I need to activate which should then show an
illustration of the unit connected to a pc with an
unplug or eject icon on the system tray. Then the
manual says to double click on My Computer to show
the removeable drive for the storage card. I am
running Win XP Home w/SP2.

When I connect mine, with the interface set to
"Garmin", I hear the connection beep from the pc
and the unit shows "connected" but the drive does
not appear in My Computer. What am I missing.

TIA,
Brian

On my Legend Cx, I have to go to Setup->Connection in the
menu, then elect the USB MAss Storage button to "reboot"
the unit in mass storage mode. At that point, you should see
a virtual drive appear in My Computer.

Yes, that's the way it works on the GPSmap 76HCx also...

Thank you! Works perfectly on my eTrex Vista HCx.

This is an additional question. Can I put subdirectories on the micro
drive and load files there without messing things up with the use of my
Vista HCx?
