I wonder if anyone knows that 2011.10 has new extended coverage
including Mexico. Just read that on another gps forum and saw it on my
new map in MapSource.

Yes, it's only ok and definitely not as good as the BICIMAPAS now
known as Mexico GPS Atlas.

Beginning with the 2009 version (now one release out of date), MS
Streets & Trips has had superb Mexico coverage.

When we crossed the border southbound in the motor home last
winter, I stopped using the Garmin and started using S&T. It had
detailed street-level maps even in very small towns. It is
limited in its search capabilities for Mexico addresses, but it
guided us through a couple thousand miles of travel down there.

It's also dirt cheap.

I checked on eBay & Microsoft.com
Both sites tout US & Canada.

Don't know why. I reported my experience. Here are a couple other
cites:

"Streets & Trips 2009 adds pronunciation of street names, as part
of the voice directions prompts. The map of Mexico now includes
street level data of even small towns, but the address-find
feature still has not been enabled for there."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_AutoRoute

"They made a huge improvement in Mexico in 2009 and 2010 is even
better. We can now see local streets in even some small towns all
over Mexico. Mexico is building a lot of new roads at a somewhat
rapid pace (for Mexico) and Streets and Trips is not far behind.
They must get their info from the Mexican Gov't or someone who
gets if from them as they are very close behind when the official
maps are issued. S&T is an amazing tool for all our travels. We
are fulltime RVers traveling all over North America and S&T is
there for us almost 100%"
