I live in the USA and will be travling to the UK and France this summer. I
am interested in purchasing a new GPS receiver and City Navigator for
Europe. I presently own 5 different models of Garmin GPSs, none of which
have enough memory to load these maps, and am thinking of buying the 76 Cx
and City Navigator Europe for this trip.
Does my GPS V even come close to having enough memory for loading Paris,
Manchester, and London?
Does the 76 have enough memory to load maps for Paris, Manchester, and
London?
Does anyone know of any deals that are available in the USA for City
Navigator Europe and a 76 Cx (don't want or need the compass or barometer.)
Thanks for any help.
About 59,5 MT
Whole UK and France 375,3 Mt

City Navigator Europe v8 says this takes 95.7MB (generously selected
>London?
area, not just the city-centers). Only City-Centers is 41.2MB (27.8MB
if you exclude routing data).
The 76Cx comes with a 128MB MicroSD card AFAIK. You could go for a 2GB
card upon which the whole of CNEv8 would fit (approx. 1.8GB).

I, too, am going to purchase either a 60csx or 76 csx, as the cost
difference above the cx models is minimal. Go to shipdog.com and you can
pick up a 76csx for about $338. For some reason the 60csx is slightly more
expensive. Now back to your question. I know of no deals in my research
for the City Navigator-Europe. Try eBay. Memory for the 60/76 series is
cheap!! You can pick up a 1gb card for under $25, so there is really no
advantage to the 128mb card thats included with the 76cx. I am buying mine
for similar reasons...to use here and to use on a 2008 trip to Italy and
Paris.
Happy travels!

If you are going to Europe, I would reccomend buying the unit there
itself. All European units come with European maps installed and that
way you will not have to pay another $300 for the European maps. And
you can just use your old GPS system back in the US.
