Battery Recall: Anyone here from Garmin Sales? Can you just upgrade to a newer, bigger unit?

Seems Garmin has issued a recall notice for a few battery issues:

AFFECTED PRODUCTS
The recalled devices include a small subset of the following nüvi model
numbers:
• nüvi 200W, 250W, and 260W
• nüvi 7xx and 7xxT (where xx is a two-digit number)

Rather than send it back and get a replacement, is there anyone from
Garmin Sales lurking here that could make an offer on a newer, bigger,
model where I pay some money and get an upgraded model, then send the
old one back for the recall?
