I have a Garmin Nuvi 660. Is there a way to add someplace that doesn't have an
actual address to type in? Specifically, I'm trying to add the
location/directions to the Verannzano Bridge in New York. Seems when I try to
add a location, it wants an address, and I don't think the bridge has one.
Thanks.

Does the 660 have map ref capability? On the 300 series, I input a map
ref to indicate things like car parks where there appears to be no
address. Alternatively, if you find the place you want on the Nuvi's
map, and 'mark' it, that can be saved as a POI.

Go to that place, tap the little car on the map, and choose Save.

Or do it via Google Maps.

I'm guessing you want to drive acros it vs just looking at it.
Be careful about some random point,
as we found out years ago in Boston and the tunnels to/from Logan airport.
Each tunnel going in each direct - right next to each other - had a
different name.
We kept looking for the one we used coming from the airport, and could never
find it.

So - if you are driving across the bridge - might try with the GPS Simulator
Mode -
to mark a point in the middle of the bridge, and say "GoTo" and see what it
creates.

That is the Sumner and the Callahan. You'll be happy to know they have a
new tunnel call the Ted Williams that goes in both directions. Much simpler
getting to the airport these days.

My first tip to Boston was about 43 years ago. I crossed the Tobin Bridge
three times trying to find my way. I pulled over and had the map opened and
a motorist asked me where I wanted to go and I was able to follow him to get
to my route. I'm pretty good with dead reckoning, but Boston is tough.
